Yes!! The Royal Gudliya Suite located inside the City Palace will be available to book on Airbnb, with His Highness Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh becoming the first king to host on Airbnb. The Gudia suite of the City Palace has seen guests like Princess Diana Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and Jackie Kennedy, among others.
and now even you could experience the royalty too.
This revolutionary decision was taken by none other than the dapper, polo-playing 21-year old Maharaja Padmanabh Singh who succeeded his grandfather in 2011 as the Maharaja of the land his ancestors have ruled for nearly a thousand years. He appreciates his experiences with Airbnb while traveling across new cities and learning new cultures. He now wants people from around the world to visit Rajasthan and experience the royal hospitality.

Built in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of the city of Jaipur, the City Palace exemplifies the best of 18th century Rajput architecture with and other architectural influences of later periods. The interiors contain ornate chambers, large and airy reception halls, crystal chandeliers, gilded wall decorations, intricate carvings and in addition to the royal residence, the sprawling palace complex houses a large, internationally recognized museum.
Guests of the Gudliya Suite at the City Palace will be provided an inspiring journey into the rich history, cultural heritage and artistic traditions of Jaipur’s royal family. Your royal experience starts as soon as you land in Jaipur. A Chauffeur will pick you up and take you to the palace, where your private butler will be waiting for you. You will be given a private guided tour of the palace by a royal staff member. The suite includes a lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and a private indoor swimming pool as well. Guests will also get a chance to experience curated outings like shopping tours, local museums, and other city excursions.
Now, the most important part you have been waiting for. Food!! Guests get to relish on two gourmet experiences breakfast and dinner at the Palace’s in-house restaurant Baradari. Authentic Rajasthani meals may be enjoyed on a terrace offering an amazing view of the surrounding Aravalli hills and forts overlooking the palace, and peaceful afternoon tea can be had in the company of the resident peacocks who live in the Palace’s lush gardens.
If you always imagined how would it feel to live in a palace, now it is your chance!! The Gudia suite will be available on Airbnb from 23rd November 2019. This year you can book the suite for $1000/per night and the remaining balance will be paid by Airbnb. From Jan 1st, 2020, the Gudia suite will be available for $8000/per night. Also, proceeds from each booking will go to Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the betterment of rural women and artisans.
