Looking at the soaring speed of the spread of Coronavirus in Mumbai, the neighboring district, Thane has come up with a bold step to ensure the safety of its residents. From midnight July 1, i.e. today, there will be a complete lockdown in Thane District till July 10. During this span, only medical stores and milk shops will be allowed to run.
This decision came after a discussion between Thane Police Commissioner and Municipal Corporation. In this lockdown, all the commercial shops and other activities will be banned, including home delivery. The authorities gave enough time for the residents to stock up on essentials.
A statement by Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Ashok Burpulle mentioned “When no shops will be allowed to open, the question of home deliveries does not arise.” Apart from this, one can only travel for emergencies and essential purposes. Only the people working as doctors, police, and other civic workers will be allowed to go to work. People from the private sector cannot go to the office. All the lockdown policies do not apply for the vehicles running on the highway.
As there is a complete lockdown in Thane district beginning now on, Thanekars store all the essentials that you will require in the span of 10 days.
Stay home and stay safe.
