The kind of road trip, that was a far fetched dream to date, is not one anymore. Karnataka government has launched 'Caravan Tourism' in the hope to revive the state's tourism sector.
If exploring the countryside is your ideal holiday, just like the five in the 'Famous Five Book.' Then the 'LuxeCamper' launched by the Karnataka Government should be the next big thing on your bucket list. The officials said it is the best way to travel in today's time while ensuring the social distancing norms. The brain behind designing the caravans are Bangalore based start-ups, Holiday India and Campervan Camps.
Let's give you little sneak peek inside the 200 sq. feet Caravan! The fully solar-powered Caravan is well-equipped with possibly everything one can think of. From seats, converter beds that makeup one queen-sized bed, two TVs, incinerator toilet, and shower, to a kitchen with gas, induction, microwave, RO, and a refrigerator. The caravan has a capacity for four people at one go.
In the first phase, the Karnataka Government launched the Caravan Tourism for spots like Hampi, Gokarna, Badami, Kudremukh, Sakaleshpura, Beluru, Halebidu, Sakrebailu, and Kodagu. One day trip for two adults will cost approximately range from Rs. 25,000 - 30,000.
It's time to tick off yet another thing from the super long to do. When are you taking the trip?
