Jaipur is one of the most popular tourist circuits. The credit for this goes to its enthralling and historical background. Jaipur is loved to the tee, not just by tourists but also by its residents who are never left thinking 'ab kya kare?' They always have some spectacular sites to visit or eat their heart out at streets or fancy cafes in Jaipur or maybe drink the night away. Are we right, or are we right? Here are a few hangout spots in Jaipur that will be dearly missed this friendship day.
1. Serene drive to Sambhar Lake
This beautiful lake is India's biggest inland salt lake. It is located 80 km from the city of Jaipur. But believe us, a drive with your friends to Sambhar Lake will never be regretted, especially, if you witness the beautiful sunset hues. Sadly, for now, it is just a little dream waiting to be fulfilled. Sadly, for now, it is just a little dream waiting to be fulfilled.
2. Feeling touristy at Tattoo Cafe
When tourists visit Jaipur for the first time, and they are in search of a mandatory picture with Hawa Mahal as their beautiful backdrop, they sure as hell land up at Tattoo Cafe. Being touristy in your own home city, eating good food, and getting some jaw-dropping shots of yourself and Hawa Mahal will be missed this time.
3. Meet over Chai at Tapri Central
Tapri is the spot. No matter how many people go on saying it's cliche now, but it still holds a very special place. Damn, but this virus has ruined the plans of gorging on some maggie and Parle-G with an exquisite cup of chai while enjoying the panoramic view of the city from their rooftop.
4. Photoshoot at Patrika Gate
Patrika Gate is an architectural heritage engraved with colorful and vibrant paintings. The perfect amalgamation of architecture, paintings, and colors makes it a treat for photographers and a perfect spot for people who love getting clicked. Sadly, this friendship, this place won't be bustling with groups of friends waiting for that perfect shot.
5. Go Dessert hogging at Zolo Crust
If your ideal way of spending a day with your friends is hogging on desserts, then Zolo Crust is just the place for you. They have the most decadence cakes in the town. Not just cakes, but a lot of desserts and good food. What if you can't go out and eat. May be, order some?
6. Scenic drive to Nahargarh Fort
No matter how mundane does this get, something is mesmerizing with every trip on those curvy roads full of trees and rocky mountains. Every drive brings with it new memories to swear by. Padao at Nahargarh is 'the place' to get the best view of Jaipur. Sadly, we can only catch a glimpse of that view in our sleep. brb cursing the virus
7. Gulp down at Masala Chowk
If you love gulping down street food, there is no place like Masala Chowk in the entire Jaipur. That one place is a storehouse of literally everything from kachori, dosa, tandoori chai, choley bhaturey, pav bhaji and all the other things one can possibly think of when it comes to street food. All the foodies, we feel you. It's alright, good days will knock on your door, or let's say belly again.
8. Go for a Trek to Galta Ji
Trekking to reach Galta Ji is an awesome experience itself and especially if that happens with a set of friends, with some music, fun, and loads of good memories. Literally sobbing as we can't be doing that anytime soon.
9. Go drinking at Club Trove
If you are part of a major chiller gang and your outing plans mean drinking the night away. Then, there is no place like Club Trove. Eat a little, dance a little more, and drink a lot. Sounds perfect, doesn't it? But right now, all we can do is stay indoors, stay indoors a little more and sulk about the situation a lot.
10. Eating at Nibs
Damn, the shakes and the desserts at Nibs are pure love. And don't even get us started with the crazy food they have. We literally drool just by the thought of it. Good food, good decor, and good friends are like a combination made in heaven. But it's ok, maybe this year cook some good food and set up a nice table for your friends all by yourself.
11. Shopping followed by a movie at WTP
Watching movies with a bucket of cheese popcorn mixed with caramel popcorn is literally everyone's soul food while watching a movie. And how can we not mention fighting with friends in the theatre to get your share of popcorn? God knows, when will we be able to have a movie experience in a theatre again. Not just the movie experience, we can't wait to go window shopping with our friends again.
12. Spend the day at Friends Theme 'There for you cafe'
There for you in Jaipur is like the mini friends set. Everything you see in the cafe is based on the TV series Friends. Until now you know, even their name. Apart from the theme being the best, they also have delicious food and a wide variety to make your day just perfect.
All these experiences will be dearly missed in 2020.
