History of the Shop:
Established in the year 1884, this famous shop belongs to Late Sh. Lala Nem Chand Jain. He migrated to Delhi from Agra's Hari Ki Garhi village with only 2 Rs. With that money, he opened his shop and tried his hands on various recipes. After mastering the art of making jalebis, he settled on selling crispy ghee jalebis in his shop, which is crowd-favorite even now.
These jalebis are not only famous in Delhi, but even in countries like the U.S.A., Australia, Canada, and Pakistan. The shop has witnessed visitors from all over the world. Several prominent personalities like Raj Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Gandhi, and Chaudhary Charan Singh have also been here. Even Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, and H.P. Deve Gowda were also extremely fond of these jalebis.
These golden-brown thick jalebis dipped in a mixture of sugar, flavoring spices, and other hidden ingredients are enough to make your mouth water. They also have samosas, lassi, and Rabri to offer.
