One of the most iconic movies shot in Kolkata, Parineeta stars Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan, and Sanjay Dutt. Primarily set in Kolkata showcasing the 60s, this film will give you an authentic feel of old Kolkata. One of its songs was shot at James Prinsep Memorial, which is located in the heart of the city.

This Mani Ratnam directorial is not only based in Kolkata, but a massive part of the film revolves around an iconic location in the city. Yes, we are talking about the Howrah Bridge. The bridge plays such an important part in the film that the move was supposed to be named after the landmark. The political thriller that was released in 2004 came with a heavy-hitting cast including Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, Abhishek Bachchan, Esha Deol, Kareena Kapoor, and Rani Mukerji.
