The chocolate statue of SP Balasubrahmanyam will be on display at the bakery shop till January 3.
To give a sweet tribute to the legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, a popular bakery chain in Puducherry has prepared a life-size chocolate statue of the singer.
The owner and the Chef Rajendran of the Zuka Chocolate Cafe, along with his team created the statue in 161 hours. The statue of the singer weighs 339 kg and is 5.8 feet tall.
Chocolate statue of Abdul Kalam
The statue has been kept for the public display until January 3 at the bakery shop. However, the fans have already started visiting the shop. The bakery had also created statues of late former President Abdul Kalam and Rajinikanth earlier.
Mini Forest as a tribute
In addition to the statue, a mini forest with the name 'SPB Vanam' has also been planned in Coimbatore. The forest is likely to include trees of jackfruit, mango, red sanders, teak, rosewood, bamboo, mahogany and 9 varieties of other trees. The location of the forest is supposed to be announced soon.
The late singer SP Balasubrahmanyam had lost his life on September 27 after being admitted in a Chennai hospital from August 5 due to COVID-19 infections.
