The Dunzo report found that people bought more things at night than a day during the lockdown. Check out which cities bought what!
With Lockdown in place, people mostly relied on online shopping for essential and non-non essential goods. One such supplier, Dunzo app, observed various buying trends among people belonging from different cities which it has released in a report. According to the Dunzo report, people were three times more active for shopping at night than day.
It is revealed in the report that Hyderabad saw a 6-fold boom in shopping through the app. However, Chennai saw a 3-time increase and Jaipur 4 times. Apart from this, Mumbai and Delhi also observed a 3 times increase in shopping through this app.
The report also noticed the buying tendencies of people related to the food items where Pune turned out to be the largest buyer of Maggi. Chicken Biriyani was mostly ordered by the people of Bengaluru. Mumbai remained a good buyer of Dal Khichdi and Chennai of Idli. Chennai also preferred coffee along with Delhi and Jaipur. However, Gurugram liked to order a lot of potato-Tikki burgers.
The positive impact of the Pandemic, as noticed by the Dunzo app, was people's inclination towards a healthier alternative to daily food. As per the reports, people from Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai preferred jaggery over sugar.
Furthermore, Gurugram turned out to be the top city for taking care of pets. Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai were also recorded to be the largest buyer of food for cats.
