The restaurant owner launched samosa in three attempts. Here's why he did this!
A lot of us, not from the Science background, had still not figured out how people go in space. And, confidently adding more confusion to this, an Indian restaurant in the UK managed to launch Samosa into space. Though, it later got crashed and landed in France.
Niraj Gadher, the owner of a popular restaurant, 'Chai Walla' in Bath, UK completed this "mission" in three attempts. Since Niraj was using helium balloons, it slipped from his hands, in the first attempt. But how could he let go of his thought? So, he made the second attempt. But this time, he did not have enough helium. Finally, his third attempt was successful after he got everything right.
Samosa into space to spread cheers
The reason why this restaurant owner did this is even more interesting. One day, he had said to his team jokingly that he would send a Samosa in space. Now, in difficult times when the whole world is dealing with a pandemic, he thought to turn his joke into reality. He and his team worked on this idea to spread cheers.
Niraj also wanted to track the samosa for which he put a GPS camera and GoPro camera in the balloon. However, after some time, his team realised that the camera was not working properly.
The very next day, they got to know that the balloon has crashed. The team checked the area of the crash and informed people on Instagram. They sent messages to the people if they would like to have their "mission" as a snack.
Axel Mathon, an Instagram user found the samosa packed in polystyrene box in a field in Picardie (France).
We are thinking what if Samosa would have succeeded to enter the space? Probably, a new chapter for kids in science books!
