Skipping made the way; Karnataka student set world record by performing 55 backward body skips in a minute!

Tanushree Pithrody, a Karnataka student, set world record after the regular and rigorous practice of Yoga. She performed 55 backward body skips in a minute at her school auditorium.

"Kheloge Koodoge to banoge kharab"- we all have heard this sentence from our elders during childhood. Though, the time has changed which can easily be observed through the people who are doing good in sports and related activities. This time, a Karnataka student set a world record by performing 55 backward body skips in a minute.

Tanushree Pithrody, a student of class 7 from Udupi has received the provisional certificate of the Golden Book of World Records. She performed 55 backward body skips in her school auditorium.

The young enthusiast is a student of Cecily’s Higher Primary School. She got the certificate from Vaishnav Manish, the adjudicator from the Golden Book of World Records, who was present at the auditorium.

That small journey

After watching a boy from Tamil Nadu performing backward body skips, Tanushree also got inspired to do the same.

Initially, she could do only 20 backward skips but as time passed by, she increased the number and achieved "50 skips" at home.

Series of victory before this Karnataka student set world record

The daughter of Uday Kumar, an electrical contractor, and Sandhya, a homemaker, has already set several records before this. She had performed 42 full-body revolutions for which she held the record in April 2018.

She had set another record in April 2017 for doing “Niralamba Poorna Chakrasana” 19 times in a minute. Also, she has received Yoga Rathna award in June 2019 from D. Veerendra Heggade, Pattadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.

Tanushree practises Yoga daily and gives a lot of credit to her parents, and Yoga teacher for the winning.
