Women have been expected to be strong for ages carrying the heavy burden of a patriarchal setup for centuries. It's the feminist movement that we need to make space for so that it finds a grip on the ever-discriminatory setup and the adverse effects that arise from it. Diya has a unique way of expressing the common issues faced by every single girl in India. The women she presents through her art deal with misogyny and discrimination daily yet refuses to give up. They question the orthodox behaviour of society and live according to their way.
"I am not good at expressing myself through words but I do it with my art," Diya says. She also says that people and things around her inspire her to draw.

One of the popular women artists on Instagram, Mounica draws women who are, even if a little messy, deserves to stay the way they are and not conform to the girl like behaviour expected from the story.

Women made by Aastha Sachdev have a unique way of dealing with people who fail to understand them. They have a sarcastic take on every situation which questions the roots of discrimination.

Tara represents women bold enough to fight back whatever comes as a hindrance in their way of living. They are independent of their choices and preferences.
This Bombay-based artist creates intriguing illustrations that usually do not include text but still speaks a thousand words.

How many women do you know who do not care about beauty standards? Well, add more to the list as the women seen in her art give no place to those standards.
Damini Gupta, the Illustrator and Graphic Designer from Delhi uses cartoons and caricatures to showcase her characters.

All women depicted in Maria's art find new ways to smash the patriarchy. These are traditional Indian women but are not delicate and weak. They stand up and fight back all the time.
