Bangaloreans will soon get to see IKEA in Bengaluru as the Swedish company has purchased 14 acres of land to open a small-format store.
After Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad, IKEA, a Swedish company selling high-quality home furnishings, is set to spand the roots in Bengaluru. IKEA in Bengaluru will be spread in 100,000 square feet in Whitefield.
The company has bought a 14-acre of land in Nagasandra of Bengaluru for the launch of the store.
IKEA has uniquely made its products to suit the Indian market. Even this time, the company has visited a thousand homes to research how people live.
Further, they also tried to figure out the needs of people to put their products according to the Indian needs.
A small-format IKEA in Bengaluru
The small-format store in Bengaluru will have a smaller range on display. The store will have a different presentation than other stores.
Currently, IKEA has more than 50 suppliers with 45,000 direct employees and 400,000 people in the extended supply chain in India.
The time for the upcoming Bengaluru store has not yet been disclosed.
