Prateeksha is a proud Mumbaikar and knows the city well. Being a food blogger, she has explored many local eateries, delivery places, and homegrown brands. So, you have to believe us when we ask you to bookmark these recommendations and fill your tummy with some good food and beverages. So let’s get started with Local 10 with Prateeksha Khot!
1. Favourite Chaat Place in Mumbai
If you love chaat, you definitely need to visit Jalaram Snacks in Mulund at least once. Their chaat is super delicious (and they are very hygienic) and they also have farsaan which is freshly made!
Where: Mulund west
2. Favourite Place for Coffee in Mumbai
Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters in Bandra is my absolute favourite! They have a great range of roasted coffee which is perfect for curling up with a book. If you are someone who loves cappuccino, Slay Coffee’s (Bhandup) Rose cappuccino is delicious!
Where: Bandra west
3. Favourite Home Chef in Mumbai
If you are in the mood for some south Indian fusion food, then Sambar and Soy by Mihir Seth is a perfect choice. Do try out their Rasam Ramen and wonton chips - although their entire menu is drool-worthy. They also do catering, so definitely check them out.

4. Favourite Dessert Eatery in Mumbai
I have a sweet tooth and picking a favourite is going to be tricky! I love the dessert menu at Rolling Pin (Lower Parel) and Elementaria - from cupcakes to mousse to freak shakes, they have everything to satisfy your sweet cravings!
Where: Rolling pin Lower Parel / Elementaria, Lowe Parel
5. Favourite Soda Brand
Though I don't drink soda much, but if I do, it's always Limca! The fuzzy flavour of chilled Limca tastes like heaven, and always satiates my thirst. Though it's easily available in the market, but you can make it at home also with this recipe.
Check this recipe.
6. Favourite Local Food Delivery
I absolutely love the Maharashtrian food by Wah Maratha. Their Rassa Pav plates (they have quite a few options in these but the mutton one is my favourite) and misal pav plate are my favourites - do add on the bhakri! They deliver the food in disposable plate containers with cutlery which makes it easy to eat anywhere you want!
Where: Ulhasnagar

7. Go-To Place for Grocery Shopping
While I do most of my grocery shopping through the local market, but for online shopping, I prefer BigBasket - especially for fresh fruits. This has been my only go-to place for some fresh blueberries.
Shop here.
8. Favourite Sushi/ Seafood Eatery in Mumbai
I love seafood! While Mumbai has lots of places for some authentic Maharashtrian seafood, I love going to Gajalee in Lower Parel (they have quite a few chains across Mumbai). Love their Pomfret and Bomfil Fry. If you plan to try out lobster, do call them up and check if it is available.
Where: Extension of Entry Rd to Phoenix, Lower Parel
9. Favourite Local Caterers in Mumbai
Nirmalyam Veg Cuisine is a great option for local catering - they were our choice for my wedding as well. Their food is really delicious, they are very professional and they have a great variety of cuisine options for vegetarians.
Where: Chembur
10. Favourite Namkeen Place in Mumbai
K3 Snacks in Powai! They have an awesome range of chaat, street food, and everything! From freshly made dhoklas, vada pav to even packaged namkeen snacks - it’s my go-to place for binging.
