Delhi to start random testing of COVID-19 at the airport, railway stations, and bus stations

The government will prioritise the passengers coming from the places with high Coronavirus cases for random testing of COVID-19.

Like all other states, Delhi is also dealing with a surge in Coronavirus leading the government to start random testing of COVID-19 at Delhi airport, railway stations and bus stations.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority, on March 22, geared up to begin the random testing of passengers. The testing will be done at all railway stations, along with the airport.

The passengers coming from the places where the number of Coronavirus cases is high will be in focus. However, the government will also conduct testing for others.

Random testing of COVID-19 to focus outstation passengers

The government is also planning to focus on the economically weaker sections for vaccination. It will help those who do not have access to digital platforms for registration.

The civic body of Delhi is taking care of the enforcement of the rules. It will also take strict action against those who do not wear masks or fail to abide by the rules.

Delhi has observed a sharp increase in the COVID-19 cases after March 15 taking the total to be 6,50,000 cases.
