Manzoor Ahmed is an Asthma patient for the last 4 years and needs oxygen support all day. Despite his own disease, he came forward to help people by delivering oxygen cylinders to them.
An example of courage and humanity, 48-year-old Manzoor Shaikh is delivering oxygen cylinders to patients in need. In times of crisis, when even the hospitals were running out of oxygen, and finding genuine leads for the same was difficult, Manzoor Ahmed was supplying oxygen cylinders to people door to door.
Manzoor Ahmed is the sole bread-runner in his family. He is a father of 3 kids and has been on supplementary oxygen support. In his small truck, he delivers the cylinders with his son. Unable to do stressful physical tasks, his son helps him by carrying and dropping oxygen cylinders. Other than just delivering these cylinders, Manzoor also re-fills them if someone needs them.
Due to his weak lungs, Manzoor is more prone to get infected with COVID-19. To keep himself stable he carries oxygen cylinders with him 24x7. “I know the importance of oxygen as I have been on oxygen support for the last three years after suffering an asthma attack. I have been driving this vehicle and ensuring my family’s wellbeing. But today it is even more important to carry these cylinders,” he said.
Manzoor Ahmed feels if he is able to save even one life, it would be an achievement for him. Local Samosa wishes this COVID-19 warrior good luck, and hope to see him healthier in the near future.
