From Rimjhim Gire Sawan to Barso se, Bollywood has given us an end number of beautiful rain songs and locations that we remind of when monsoons arrive. Check how many of these you know!

With rain surely comes in our mind those beautiful Hindi numbers which have remained with us since childhood. And, there is no doubt that those songs have been beautifully shot at different locations making us romanticize every bit of monsoon. Hence, this time, we have picked up some amazing rain songs and locations that have made those songs look even prettier.

1. Rimjhim Gire Sawan - Marine Drive, Oval Maidan, Victoria Terminus ( Mumbai)

Who can ever underestimate the rains of Bombay! Rimjhim Gire Sawan from the movie Manzil (1979) truly takes one on the journey of those parts of Bombay where rains make the place even prettier. The song was shot at Marine Drive and Oval Maidan in Churchgate. Some parts of the songs have also been shot around Victoria Terminus station (now, CST). One can see the old Bombay in this song and can imagine how beautiful it used to be during rains at that time!

2. Taal Se Taal Mila - Chamba Valley (Himachal Pradesh)

Greenery everywhere with Aishwarya Rai dancing in white dress defines the song Taal Se Taal Mila from the movie Taal (1999). This song has been shot in the beautiful Chamba valley, which becomes amazingly picturesque during monsoons. Chamba is a town in Himachal Pradesh that is situated on the banks of the Ravi river, and the song has truly explored its beauty.

3. Barso Re - Athirapally, Chalakudy (Kerala), Melkote (Karnataka), Pollachi (Tamil Nadu)

Once again, Aishwarya dancing and singing that she is going to meet her lover is what has been depicted in the song front the movie Guru (2007). The amazing part of this song is that it has been shot in three different states! Some parts of the song have been shot at the Athirapally waterfalls whereas the scenes of fields are from Chalakudy, both in Kerala. The song has also featured some parts of Pollachi, a town in Tamil Nadu. However, at the end of the scene, where Aishwarya is seen dancing on a platform-like structure has been shot at Melkote, Karnataka.

4. Mhare Hiwda Mein - Mehrangarh Fort (Jodhpur)

The Rajshree production movie Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) has this beautiful song where the whole reel family was seen dancing after rains start pouring. But what makes this song beautiful, is the Mehrangarh fort situated in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Almost every part of the fort has been used in the song, and the Rajasthani culture has been displayed well.

5. Jo Haal Dil Ka - Khandala shooting point

Sarfarosh (2000) has one of the most beautiful rain songs and locations in the song Jo Haal Dil Ka. The song has used Khandala shooting point for the location, which becomes heavenly beautiful during rains. One can easily see Sonali Bendre and Amir Khan romancing in front of the waterfall from where Rajmachi Fort can also be seen. The whole valley has been used to beautify the song, and it is shot beautifully!
