Plastic is everywhere! It's on our shelves, on our plates, and even on the things we wear. If you also feel guilty about it and trying to find ways to live an eco-friendly life, then check out these brands that are making lifestyle products with plastic!

According to the report of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) in the year 2018-19, the total plastic waste generation in India was 3.3 million metric tonnes per year. This means our country is approximately generating 9,200 tonnes of plastic waste every day. It is bad, and with the increased use of plastic in almost everything around us, chances are that the situation will get even worse. In such wrapped up days, these brands are indeed a ray of hope, as they are using waste plastic in the best ways. Their products are made with plastic waste. They are durable and stylish. 1. EcoHike, Tirupur

EcoHike is a clothing brand that makes T-shirts with recycled plastic bottles. Each of their T-shirts has 12 PET bottles, and it saves up to 2700 liters of water. Their product tag is made of cotton textile waste which is embedded with brinjal and chilli seeds. This means you can turn the price tag into food by simply sowing it in the ground! Trendy and pretty right?

2. Théla, Mumbai

Théla is another upcycling initiative that handcrafts products with plastic waste. Their products are made with discarded plastic carry bags, garbage bags, food packaging wrappers, and large plastic sheets used in agriculture. They turn plastic into yarn, and then this yarn goes for handcrafting. Team Thela uses two craft techniques – crochet and weaving. The crocheted products are made entirely by founder Diti in Greece. While the woven products are made in collaboration with ethical, like-minded organizations in India.

3. EWA, Bangalore

EWA makes gorgeous pots with a 100% eco-friendly procedure with no harmful chemicals or gases. These pots are recyclable too and would look perfect on your work desk or in your home. To curate an entirely sustainable solution, EWA has partnered with 'Rashi E-Waste Solutions', a recycling venture that's been sustainably processing e-waste since 2011. EWA has made around 1,500 pots as of now, and they are not stopping anytime soon.

4. The Retro Haus, Mohali

The Retro Haus makes handcrafted lifestyle products, especially in home decor, furniture, and ceramics. The rural artisans, weavers & craftsmen make their products, and the designs are impressive. Their Patio garden chairs are colorful and beautiful, but what makes them prettier is that they are is handwoven by rural artisans with the upcycled plastic waste ropes. Each of these chairs carries 3.5 kgs of plastic waste and takes 17 hours.
