1. Kerala's Wayanad becomes first to vaccinate its adult population

Wayanad, a tribal-dominated district in Kerala has become the first in the state to administer the first dose of vaccine to all its adult population, except for the ones who were COVID-19 positive or were under quarantine. Those who refused to take the vaccines, however, have also been left. The health workers were divided into special mobile teams to give the doses in the tribal areas.

2. J&K police bag three highest gallantry awards on Independence Day

Jammu and Kashmir Police have received the three highest gallantry awards, where Assistant Sub Inspector Babu Ram, Costable Altaf Hussain Bhat, and Special Police Officer Shahbaz Ahmad have received Ashok Chakra, Kirti Chakra, and Shaurya Chakra for their bravery during their service.

3. Indore becomes India's first 'Water Plus' city

The cleanest city of India has received another title of being the first 'Water Plus' city under the Swachh Survekshan 2021-an an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across India. It has received the title for the administration constructing 7 sewage treatment plants, 147 urinals, and cleaning water bodies like streams, ponds, wells, etc.

4. Andhra Pradesh builds temple highlighting government welfare schemes

In a first-of-its-kind effort, Andhra Pradesh has built a Navartnala Alayam, a structure consisting of a museum, a mirror room, and a Navaratnalu temple. The unique features of this structure are that it has a walk-in gallery that has pictures and explanations of all the schemes, along with images of the Chief Minister embedded in gold and silver.
