Once again, an Indian athlete has made the country proud by winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. He is none other than a 19-year-old Manish Narwal, who has bagged the medal in the P4- Mixed 50 m Pistol SH1 at the Tokyo Paralympics. He created the world record by scoring 218.2 points.

2. UP starts drive to make the state potholes-free

Since potholes are one of the major infrastructure problems in India, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to get rid of them in its state. The Deputy Chief Minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya, has launched a 30-day special drive to repair potholes. Further, the government will also take action against those who show laxity in work.

Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu has made it mandatory for people to show their vaccination certificates confirming their two doses of vaccination in an attempt to inoculate its citizens. The district collector has started this initiative for the state-run TASMAC outlets.

4. Valmiki Nagar in Bihar to promote eco-tourism

As part of the government's plan to give a boost to the eco-tourism, the Department of Environment Forests and Climate Change has proposed to work for the tourist sites to convert them into eco-tourism hotspots. Following this, Valmiki Nagar of Bihar, located at the India-Nepal border, will become more environment-friendly.
