This successful retro-style bar opened its Thane outlet in August and is already creating a buzz. Even on a weeknight, the tables were full, and people were waiting at the bar for a table. Butterfly High in Thane can be your next favourite food spot to be with your loved ones when all you crave is good food and awesome drinks.
Butterfly High in Thane has a cool, cozy, and lit ambiance. The restaurant offers a plethora of cocktails and has a huge separate bar unit. A modern take on Indian cuisine along with oriental & continental options awaits for you to come and dig in. There are also some authentic Maharashtrian dishes that one should try. The funky vibes are millennial & Insta-friendly. They have lounge seating and even a private dining area for small groups. We recently enjoyed a satiating meal at this place, and here’s what we have to say!
Starters!
Fried White Dhokla Dabeli- It was a fusion dish that caught our attention. A twist on the regular Dhoklas with the Dabeli masala and topped with Sev was a delight. A nice fusion and a delicious small bites option was a great way to start our meal.
Ranti Chicken Sukka pita- Another fusion appetizer that we found interesting. The Pita bread was soft and a perfect pillow for the flavourful chicken filling accompanied with garlic mayonnaise. The filling had the right amount of spices, and it was a good bar food pick.
Main course!
Veg. Lasagna- If you love veggies on your plates, then this is something for you! This delicious Lasagna came with both red and white sauce and was served with garlic bread. It is definitely a must-have, and we loved it!
Kolhapuri Tamba Rassa- We were pretty surprised to see an authentic Maharashtrian dish on the menu, but we are glad, we did not skip it. The spices were just right, and it came rice bhakri, which complemented the dish perfectly. It was crispy, and it was a tasty dish to bite on.
Desserts!
Hazelnut Pistachio Baklava- Not many get this right, but this Hazelnut Pistachio baklava was authentic and had the most beautiful presentation. It's a must-have as you will not find this in many places.
Drinks!
Subhash, the bartender, made us our refreshing cocktails/mocktails. The bar has some great options, and you will definitely find something you like here.
Mango Mule- It was a mocktail of Mango juice, syrup, and Red Bull. A combination that worked and was beautifully presented.
Old fashion roast cocktail- a classic which was whipped up perfectly and served with charred marshmallows.
Overall, it was one pleasing and delicious dine-in experience for us. The ambiance, large and comfy seating, great food, an epic bar, a pocket-friendly menu, and a huge TV screen make this place a must-visit restaurant in Thane. Head to Butterfly High, and you wouldn't be disappointed.
