1. Naamya Kapoor wins Gold at Junior World Championship

The 14-year-old Naamya Kapoor won the Gold medal in the women's 25m pistol event at the Junior World Championship on October 4. The win came to her after defeating Camille Jedrzejewski from France, who bagged the Silver medal. After this, Naamya Kapoor has become the first youngest Indian shooter to win an international medal.

2. Drone delivery of vaccines starts in Manipur

Under the Make-in-India initiative, an i-drone has been launched by the government along with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). This new drone has been developed to deliver vaccines over an aerial distance of 15 km within 12-15 minutes. After the launch, the drone took off from the Bishnupur district hospital to reach Loktak lake, Karang district in Manipur.

3. Centre to initiate law to make car horns sound like flute and violin

Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, has announced his plan of working on a law to make the car horns sound like Indian music instruments like flute and violin. His idea includes replacing the sound of sirens in ambulances and police vehicles with something pleasant for people. He is planning to propose the use of All India Radio (AIR) tune for this.

4. Special tourist train to be launched for five North-Eastern states

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will launch a special tourist train under the initiative, 'Dekho Apna Desh', to explore five North Eastern States. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, and Meghalaya will be covered under the initiative. The first train will start from Safdargunj station on November 26.

5. Chennai woman runs a rehabilitation centre for kids with learning disabilities

Suganya Kandasamy, who hails from Chennai, left her well-paying job in the banking sector to help kids with learning disabilities. She enrolled herself in special education and sign language school and now runs a rehabilitation center in Triplicane. She provides free speech therapy, special education, and counselling to the children and their parents through her initiative.

6. Commercial activities banned at Nahargarh fort

No restaurant, hotel, or bar will be seen atop Nahargarh fort from now as the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Bhopal, banned all commercial activities in the fort from Monday. Considering the activities "illegal", the order has been given after the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by an environmentalist Rajendra Tiwari.

7. Banjara market in Gurugram demolished

The popular Banjara market, situated at Gurugram, was demolished on Tuesday, making more than 250 shops turn into dust. The shops were popular for selling furniture, and as per Haryana Shehri Vikas Praadhikaran (HSVP), the responsible body for the demolition, the sellers had illegally occupied the 25-acre of land for the past 15 years.
