We recently spent a delicious afternoon at the newly opened Magna cafe & Bar and it's worth all the hype. From a delectable multi-cuisine menu to fabulous cocktails and drinks, to a spacious and lush green ambience, this cafe is a must-visit if you are craving some good food, a good time, and some insta-worthy shots!
It was one hot and humid afternoon last week and so after shopping at the Thane market, we really needed to relax and chill for a bit. So we decided to give the newly opened Magna Cafe and Bar inside The Thane Club a try and were welcomed by a very gorgeous, bright, and green space. The luminous accents, chic aesthetics, private carriage seating, and plenty of greens were making the entire cafe look alive. As it was one lazy weekday afternoon, we decided to go ahead with some mocktails and food from their multi-cuisine menu. And, loved every bit of it! Keep reading to know what we liked and what you should also try.
The highlight of the entire sipping menu was the thick and super creamy Strawberry & Rose Cheesecake Shake. It was loaded with whipped cream, strawberry & rose milkshake, and a piece of cheesecake. We suggest you try this as the quantity is as epic as its taste and is definitely something that we are going to order on our next visits too.
Since we weren't very hungry we started with a plate of Pull Over Nachos. This plate was another massive treat and we loved how scrumptious and messy it turned out to be. The nachos were crispy and the dressing of jalapenos, tomatoes, cream cheese, and olives was definitely a delight. It kind of reminded us of Animal style fries and we totally loved it!
From the Big Bites:
The nachos surprisingly worked well as an appetizer and so we were pretty hungry by then. We ordered a plate of Nasi Goreng as well as Avacado and cheese Sushi. The veg uramaki were fresh and presented well. The taste was good and we would love to try more from their sushi menu next time. However, Nasi Goreng was our favourite from the main course. It was Cooked with the signature veggies and came with a bowl of yellow curry, wafers as well two sticks of grilled paneer satay. It was one delicious vegetarian variant of Nasi Goreng and so if you are a rice person, give this Malaysian fried rice a bite. Because we simply loved it!
We also tried the Chicken Cajun Baos as it's very popular among the visitors. The chicken was crispy & tender and the baos soft and fresh, yet we think it could have been more flavourful. But overall it was one nice bite.
After slurping their cheesecake shake we were really looking forward to trying their dessert section but unfortunately couldn't order anything as our bellies were happily full. We give thumbs up to Magna for the food quantity, authentic flavour, and of course the overall experience.
Our food note:
To sum up, Magna Cafe & Bar is a must-visit if all you want to do is eat, drink, and have a relaxing time. In the evening, this cafe turns into a party place with DJ and his iconic playlist. While during the day, plants, the bar section, and the main wall with floral mural let you enjoy a cozy eating experience. Other than the recommended dishes, you can also try paneer tikka croissant sandwiches, almond cutlets, and pink sushis.
