Cafe Duco will hit the spot if snacking for you is about some juicy tacos, and other Latin-American and Mexican snacks. Head to this gorgeous little pet-friendly cafe in Bandra to relax, unwind, and have a delicious time.
Located at one of the quiet lanes of Pali Hill in Bandra west, Cafe Duco grabbed our attention with its pretty outdoor ambience and cute planters with greens and flowers. Started by chef Urvika Kanoi, this tiny and cozy cafe offers Latin-American cuisine that's flavourful enough to change your mood with its very first bite.
Spect-Taco-Lar
Since this place is popular for its Mexican food, we had to try the Tacos and wouldn't be wrong to say that Cafe Duco slays them. Our favourite were the very Buttery garlic shrimp tacos and were totally bowled over by the rich flavours of the same. With a generous amount of fresh herbs and shrimps with a hint of hot sauce in tortillas, these tacos were so well-done that they remained our favourite until the very end.
If you are more into chicken, then do order the Buttermilk fried chicken tacos. This one was also wrapped in soft tortillas and had a boneless piece of chicken, veggies, and chipotle aioli. The chicken was soft and a little spicy due to the smoked paprika seasoning and was completely delightful. Pair these two with their in-house Mango mint iced tea and G-Marry to clean your tastebuds for the next dishes we are going to recommend now.
What else in non-veg?
Our next order was the very tangy Chicken Kimchi sandwich. The fried chicken with sriracha and a very well-done portion of Kimchi was way too fun to eat. Another must-try for the sea-food lovers would be the Crab Fritters that we completely fell in love with for two reasons. The gorgeous presentation of the dish and the absolute crunchiness of the same. The flavours were just right and it's definitely a dish that not just looks great but tastes excellent as well.
Vegetarians keep scrolling!
If you are wondering what can be tried from the vegetarian options, the classic Bebe Elote will top our list. This snack was like a warm hug but a little messy as it was slathered in the creamy ancho aioli & topped with parmesan crumb. It's a perfect evening snack and is like a cheesy and Mexican version of our Bhuna Hua Masala bhutta! Do try the Quesadillas too if you are here as they don't disappoint. The one we ate was the Truffle mashroom quesadilla with the creamy mushroom and queso filling. It was lovely and you should try it if you swear by mushrooms.
In a nutshell, Cafe Duco won our bellies and tastebuds with its flavourful food, presentation, and very elegant ambience. And even though it's a little heavy on the pockets, it's worth the price. Visit it for a meal that's calm, tasty, and refreshing.
