1. India becomes the 8th most desirable country to relocate
According to an Australia-based price comparison website that studies the most desirable countries to relocate to, India stood in the 8th position. In the study, India was preferred as a relocation destination by residents of seven countries. Canada has received the first spot in the ranking.
2. Delhi to get the first e-waste eco-park in India
India's first e-waste eco-park will be established in Holambi Kalan in Delhi, having an area of about 21 acres. The aim has been to boost tourism and develop such a part where recycling and re-manufacturing of e-waste could take place. The Deputy CM has made the announcement of Delhi on seeing the rising number of e-waste.
3. Gita Gopinath creates history as she gets included in IMF's Wall
Gita Gopinath, the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has created history by breaking the trend of men being featured on IMF's Wall as she has recently been included on the IMF's 'Wall Of Former Chief Economists.' She is the second Indian and first woman to have received the feat.
4. Illaiyaraaja and PT Usha were nominated for Rajya Sabha
The popular musician Ilaiyaraaja and the well-known athlete PT Usha have recently been nominated for the members of Rajya Sabha. Along with them, the philanthropist Veerendra Heggade, and the screenwriter V Vijayendra Prasad Garu have also been nominated for the Rajya Sabha after which Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated each of them on Twitter.
5. Tamil Nadu gets the first publication and film company for and by transgender persons
The first-ever transgender publication and film company has been opened in Narimedu, Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. Moreover, a transgender library has also been opened on the same premises. The 'Trans News' and 'Trans Publications' cater to authors from the trans community.
