1. ‘The Elephant Whispers’ documentary wins Oscars

A documentary short titled, ‘The Elephant Whispers’ won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short category at the 95th Academy Awards. Produced by Achin Jain and Guneet Monga, and directed by Kartiki Gonsalves, the documentary captures the family from Tamil Nadu’s Mudumalai Tiger Reserve who adopt two orphan baby elephants. 

2. ‘Natu Natu’ wins Oscars for best original song category

Another win at the Oscars is the song ‘Natu Natu’ from the movie ‘RRR’, which has received the award for the best original song category. Not only this but the singers’ Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava’s performance on Natu Natu made the whole crowd groove to the music.

3. World’s longest platform inaugurated in Karnataka

Karnataka has the world’s longest platform as PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Shree Shiddharoodha Swamiji Station in Hubballi, Karnataka, on Sunday. The platform is 1,507 meters long and has been built at a cost of 20.1 crores. Moreover, it has already been recognized as the longest railway platform globally by the Guinness Book of World Records.

4. India’s first ‘Biryani ATM’ launched in Chennai

India has got its first automated Biryani machine in Chennai which offers Biryani takeaway facilities. Keeping in mind that Biryani was the topmost food choice for Indians in 2022, Chennai-based Bai Veetu Kalyanam Biryani launched this first-of-its-kind unmanned takeaway centre in Kolathur.

5. Kashmir’s Tulip Garden to welcome tourists from March 19

The popular Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden of Kashmir, which is also Asia’s largest Tulip Garden, will welcome tourists to the site from March 19. The garden is stretched between Dal Lake and the Zabarwan hills.
