Mergers, Acquisitions and Funding Round-up this week: May 20 to 25

This last week called for various investments and start-ups raised $58.36 Mn across 16 deals, a 52% decline from last week's $121.8 Mn raised across 21 deals. Out of all sectors, the Fintech sector emerged as an investor favourite this week, with startups in the sector securing $23.9 Mn across 4 deals. On the other hand, investors opted for seed funding as it jumped up more than 4X this week to $13.12 Mn from last week's $3.5 Mn. So, who are the top players that got funding this week in India? 1. Navi Finserv gets $18 Mn from multiple investors

Navi Finserv, led by Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal has raised a sum of  $18 Mn from multiple investors including Kairus Shavak Dadachanji, Pervin Kairus Dadachanji, Rishad Kairus Dadachanji, Rohit Kapadia, Sandhya Kapadia and Yash Kapadia. This Fintech B2C company raised the funding in the Debt Funding Round Type.

2. UnifyApps raises $11 Mn by Elevation Capital

The Enterprise-tech company, UnifyApps has raised a total of $11 Mn by Elevation Capital. UnifyApps, which is a B2B company in the Horizontal SaaS as the subsector of its offerings, got funding in a Seed Funding round. 

3. Varthana

Varthana, a fintech company has received the funding of $3.2 Mn from Triodos Investment Management. This B2B-B2C in Lendingtech has not disclosed the funding round type for the investment received.

4. Portl gets $3 Mn from Bharat Innovation Fund 

Portl, a health tech company has recently secured funding from multiple investors including Bharat Innovation Fund, Kalaari Capital, and T-Hub foundation of $3 Mn. This B2C Fitness & Wellness brand has kept the information about the type of funding undisclosed.

5. NoPo Nanotechnologies raises $3 Mn from Axilor Ventures, Inflexor Ventures

NoPo Nanotechnologies has recently raised funds of $3 Mn from investors namely, Axilor Ventures, Inflexor Ventures, Spectrum Impact, and Aureolis. The IoT & Hardware B2B company has closed the funding in a Pre-Series A round.
