1. Formula 4 car race was hosted in Srinagar, India:
Srinagar hosted a Formula 4 car race near Dal Lake, held on Boulevard Road. The city hosted its first-ever Formula 4 racing event, spanning 1.7 km from Lalit Ghat to Nehru Park, to promote tourism and provide diverse career opportunities for local youth. After viewing the visuals, PM Narendra Modi wrote, “India offers great opportunities for motorsports to thrive, and Srinagar is at the forefront of the places where it can happen!”
2. Longest Dosa made in Bengaluru:
The 123-foot-long Dosa breaks the 'Guinness World Record' and becomes the 'longest dosa' in the world. MTR Foods in partnership with Lormann Kitchen Equipment in Bengaluru invents this longest dosa as part of its centenary year celebrations in the Bommansandra plant in Karnataka. With a team of 75 chefs, the dosa was prepared and broke the internet sensationally.
3. Gamini gives birth to 6 cubs in Kuno National Park:
Gamini cheetah was brought from South Africa in February 2023 at Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh. The female cheetah gave birth to 6 cubs. The news was confirmed by Bhupendar Yadav, Union Cabinet Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change; and Labour & Employment.
4. Lok-Sabha elections to be held in 2024:
The Lok Sabha elections 2024 will take place in 7 phases all over India. The elections will start from 19th April to 1st June and the results will be declared on 4th June. 21 states and Union territories will hold polls in Phase 1, 13 in Phase 2, 12 in Phase 3, 10 in Phase 4, 8 in Phase 5, 7 in Phase 6 and 8 in their last Phase. Three states namely Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal will conduct elections in all seven phases.
5. Air-dropping of the Marine Commandos for anti-piracy operations:
The anti-piracy operation seized control of a Maltese-flagged cargo ship, MV Ruen. The initiative was undertaken by the Indian Navy's MACROS team, which was air-dropped into the Arabian Sea with the assistance of an aircraft, C-17, at a distance of 1400 nautical miles on Saturday and was deployed the same afternoon.
