In this week's Local Round-up, we are going to cover the latest news on certain climatic conditions in India, the Holi celebration from Ayodhya to Indian Borders by Border Security Force (BSF), news regarding politics, and raising awareness about energy conservation.

1. The world observed 'Earth Hour' to mark energy conservation:

From Sydney to Paris the world went dark to mark 'Earth Hour.' To spread awareness about energy conservation it was seen lights were turned off at many historical monuments.  

2. Mumbai has topped Beijing to become Asia's No. 1 billionaire capital:

Mumbai has overtaken Beijing and become Asia's No. 1 billionaire capital and Top-3 cities globally. While the number of billionaires in Mumbai is 92 and Beijing with 91. As per reports, Mumbai was the fastest-growing billionaire capital in the world adding 26 in the year and becoming 3rd in Asia's billionaire capital. 

3. Cyclone La Nino is likely to disrupt monsoon systems in India this time:

After having a warm 2023 Cyclone La Nino to dissipate by June this year. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in recent predictions that both the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to remain above normal in most parts of the country till May. 

4. Darkness observed across India to mark 'Earth Hour':

From Delhi to Kolkata many cities across India were marking 'Earth Hour.' Lights were turned off at many historical monuments for an hour from 9.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. to raise awareness about energy conservation.

5. Bengaluru bans Holi party and rain dance to cater through water crises in the city:

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) on Wednesday bans the use of Cauvery water and borewell supplies for the Holi celebration activities like pool parties and rain dances to avoid wastage of water and tackle water crises in the city.
