1. US college students develop App to help Indian farmers

Given the struggle of farmers, inadequate farming techniques, and recent crop failures in India, students from the Dreamers & Data Organization at North Carolina State University in America have developed an application to help farmers called ‘Mother Nature.' This app, with assistance from other members of the Dreamers & Data Organization, was developed by Sripad Ganti, a freshman statistics major at NCSU and the organization's founder and president.

Meet Lyndon Cardoso, a 29-year-old who lost his arms while in the hostel when he came in contact with a water heating rod immersed in a bucket. The electrocution resulted in severe burn injuries, leading to the amputation of both his forearms. The engineering student wanted to serve the nation by pursuing a career in defense. In 2024, Lyndon clears the Goa State Public Commission (GSPC) exam.
