The Mist LGBTQ Foundation, in collaboration with community partners like Qutcast, Shikhandi, Muktaa Foundation, CYDA, and Girl Up Jeevika, extended an invitation to the public to participate in the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) event. The poignant candlelight vigil was scheduled for November 22, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Sambhaji Garden, Deccan, Pune.

TDOR is an annual event dedicated to honoring transgender individuals who have tragically lost their lives to anti-transgender violence. This day serves as a solemn reminder of the ongoing struggles faced by the transgender community and a powerful call to action for a more inclusive society. As the vigil approached, organizers expressed their deep commitment to showing solidarity with the transgender community and promoting a future free from violence and discrimination.

Shyam Konnur, the founder and CEO of Mist LGBTQ Foundation, emphasized the importance of coming together as a community to remember the lives lost and reaffirm the collective dedication to equality. "This is a time to unite, show support for the transgender community, and advocate for a world that embraces diversity and ensures safety for all," he shared.
