On September 12, 2024, Zara opened its 24th store in India at Phoenix Mall of Asia in Bengaluru. The store, spanning over 36,000 square feet, is located on the first floor of the mall and features Zara's latest technological innovations, integrating online and physical store platforms. The design includes an updated facade with Infinity stone texture and brushed stainless steel ceilings, while the interior is predominantly white with wooden fixtures and natural textile tones. The store offers sections for Women’s, Men’s, and Kids’ apparel, and introduces a unique ‘boutique’ area for Zara's baby collection, the first of its kind in India. It also includes 13 self-checkout counters and 6 regular cash counters.
Zara's new store showcases its latest retail concept with a range of innovative customer services, including self-checkout with cash options, fitting room reservations, in-store pickup within two hours, and real-time product location via the Zara app. It also features dedicated return counters and smart fitting rooms in both the Women’s and Men’s sections.
The store is designed with advanced energy-efficiency measures such as efficient heating and cooling systems, LED lighting, and low-impact materials. Connected to Inditex’s Inergy platform, it monitors and manages energy use to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Zara continues to focus on reducing its environmental footprint through holistic practices, recycling programs, and promoting a circular economy.
