NGOs working towards Youth Skills Development for a Sustainable Future

The youth of the country are considered responsible for accelerating the growth of the nation. Therefore, various NGOs are working towards upskilling the youth, especially those who cannot afford to obtain skills through better education and infrastructure. Akshara Centre

Akshara Centre, an NGO based in Mumbai provides education, skills training and job opportunities to women belonging to the lower sections of society. The NGO has been working to empower women to make them financially independent. The NGO organises various sessions, talks and workshops for the same. 

Purkal Youth Development Society

Based in Dehradun, Purkal Youth Development Society focuses on imparting education to children and youth of India, primarily from rural and underdeveloped areas. Yuva Parivartan 

Yuva Parivartan, based in Mumbai is working with the youth, especially those who drop out from their schools so that they can be imparted skills and knowledge to make them employable. The organisation helps deprived youth and children with urban and rural livelihood training programmes. The sessions also aim at providing technical, business and life skill training programs to make the youth self-employed.
