Ranveer Singh has some stellar performances in his basket with hits like 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Padmaavat' and more. And while he’s proved his acting chops and continues to do so with upcoming projects like 'Don 3', he has another skillset he’s banking on. Singh has invested in some of the choicest brands and companies and has been in the news for doing it all hatke. So on his birthday, let’s take a look at his investments.
SUGAR
In September 2022, Ranveer Singh invested an undisclosed amount in homegrown beauty company SUGAR, co-founded by Shark Tank India judge Vineeta Singh. The company said in a statement that Singh will be the brand evangelist and build a brand connection across key markets.
"I have admired SUGAR’s ability to build a tremendous fan-following over the years and I’m excited to be a part of this journey and help the brand achieve its mission of providing Indian women access to premium and quality makeup products specially formulated for them," Singh had said in a statement at the time.
SUGAR Cosmetics started as a direct-to-consumer brand in 2015 and ventured into offline trade in 2017. In recent times, the brand has claimed to clock annual sales of more than Rs.550+ crore with a physical of 45,000+ retail touchpoints across 550+ cities.
boAt
Ranveer Singh made an investment of an undisclosed amount in Shark Tank India judge Aman Gupta’s boAt in February 2024. Singh has been roped in as the brand ambassador of the audio products brand boAt and has become a key stakeholder in the company.
boAt, one of India's leading electronics and audio products company, was founded by Sameer Mehta and Aman Gupta in November 2016. After its last round of funding, the company was valued at around Rs.2,200 crore.
Bold Care
Ranveer Singh created quite a stir with his advertisement for Bold Care. In December 2023, he became a co-owner of Bold Care, a sexual health and wellness startup. Singh’s investment amount or the extent of his stake in the company has not been disclosed.
Bold Care, headquartered in Bengaluru, has garnered widespread attention by venturing into a category that typically carries a stigma and is considered unconventional, attributing this shift in focus to Singh’s involvement. Singh had expressed his commitment to normalise conversations saying, “I am pleased to come on board as the face and co-owner of Bold Care. We are committed towards normalising conversations about sexual health and wellness, a topic that traditionally comes with stigma and taboo. People, especially men, are misinformed and shy to seek help.”
Bold Care, founded in 2021, achieved significant milestones, boasting an annual recurring revenue of Rs.40 crore. Within a span of 10 months since its launch, the company sold over 3 lakh units of condoms and processed more than 15 lakh orders.
