Every time Imtiaz Ali has directed a movie, the audience has got on a dreamy tale - either with the plot, the direction, or, most importantly, the places! Today, on his birthday, we are giving an ode to all those places that made the movies even more appealing and interesting! 

1. Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh - Love Aaj Kal 2

The tale of a modern love story picturised on Kartik Aryan and Sara Ali Khan, Love Aaj Kal 2 got even more beautiful in the second half when Aryan's character shifts here. The scenes have shown the contemporary culture of dating mixed with the traditions of Kinnaur along with its natural beauty and greenery. A few parts of Highway, Alia Bhatt, and Randeep Hooda starrer have also been shot here!

2. Chandni Chowk, Hindu College - Tamasha, Love Aaj Kal, Highway and Rockstar

Because the beauty of Delhi has been shown in various films directed by Ali where he has left no stone unturned in turning the scenes become a classic! Ali has captured South Delhi, and the lanes of Chandni Chowk in movies like Rockstar, Tamasha, and Hindu College in various movies. Next time you visit, try to identify the places!

3. Betaab Valley, Kulgam, Kupwara, Pahalgam, and Dal Lake, Kashmir - Rockstar

Rockstar was a movie to remember for its performances and places! Talking about places, how can we forget the beauty of Dal Lake, the summer capital, Pahalgam, Betaab Valley, Kulgam that was shown in the movie? The scene depicting Heer and Jordan dancing on ‘Yeh Chaand Sa Roshan Chehra’ was also shot at Dal Lake.

4. Rohtang, Himachal Pradesh - Jab We Met

Who can ever forget the movie Jab We Met and the iconic song, 'Ye Ishq hai'? Well, the song was shot in Rohtang of beautiful Himachal! From Geet's dance where snow-clad mountains appear on both sides to Geet's separation from Aditya, the scenes display the bounty of love and natural landscapes of Rohtang!

5. Spiti, Himachal Pradesh - Highway

The lives of Veera and Mahabir, the lead characters of Highway take a beautiful turn as their bus takes a turn to Spiti in Himachal Pradesh! This beautiful transition comes as an added perfection in the movie shot by Imtiaz Ali. Another instance where the stiffness of Mahabir turns into cordial behaviour with a smile in the movie is beautifully showcased here in Spiti symbolising the transitions from coldness.
