Hills of Coonoor - Khoon Bhari Maang

The poor Rekha, first, becomes a victim of her husband in the movie, Kabir Bedi's plan to kill her but as she makes a comeback in the suspense, drama movie, riding the horses, two things come to the display -  Rekha's acting skill and the beauty of Coonoor. The later part of the movie has been shot in the hills of Coonoor where the lush greenery of the tea estates are shown while Rekha continues to ace the acting game!

Jahangeerabad Palace, Mahilabad, Faizabad - Umrao Jaan

'Umrao Jaan' shows one of the hidden beauties of Uttar Pradesh. The sad and melancholic story of the film is set in the locations of Mahilabad and Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. Various local sports, corners, and locals are visible in the movie. Rekha, who is a Tawaif and performs on some of the most beautiful songs from the film like, 'Bas Ek Baar' is seen adorning the Jahangeerbad Palace which is highlighted in the movie!

Bagdogra Airport, Basushree Theatre, Basusree Cinema Hall, Botanical Garden, West Bengal -  Do Anjaane

A lot of references of Bengal are shown well in the Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Do Anjaane'. This drama film creates suspense in every next moment. You can see here the Bagdogra airport along with the old places like Basushree theatre and Basusree Cinema Hall. Some of the parts of the movie where Rekha is shown with her on-screen friend, Prem Chopra have also been shot at the Botanical Garden of Kolkata. Next time you see it, you know what to spot!

This action-drama film, 'Phool Bane Angarey' depicts Rekha as a police officer after her husband played by Rajnikanth dies in the movie aiming to expose the ganster-turned politician. The movie has beautifully captured the local spots in Udaipur like Sukadia Circle where an action sequence has been shot, Jaisamand Lake where the conversations between Rekha and Rajnikanth has been shown and even the Gandhi Ground of the city. So, all in all, the movie shows Udaipur beyond the lakes!

Pahalgam, Kashmir - Silsila

Talking about Rekha, how can we forget the movie 'Silsila', a romantic drama along with the Big B and Jaya Bachchan. 'Silsila' is an unforgettable movie for various reasons and the contribution of Kashmir's beauty to it is as relevant as the charm of Rekha and the melody of the songs. Various scenes in the movie along with the  segments of 'Dekha ek Khwab' have been shot in the lakes of Pahalgam. The views shown in the film are breathtaking while the love between the characters amidst its backdrop adds to the beauty of it!
